Return to RiteAid (and Walgreens!)

I hit another RiteAid today for more shampoo and air freshener. (As if we needed anymore!) Then I headed over to Walgreens to attempt to use my many Glade coupons and a couple more Dawn. At Walgreens I think I paid too much for the items I had because the majority should have been FREE. The Glade warmers did not ring correctly on the last few so the cashier didn't take off the full amount. I didn't ask questions because I was running late to pick the oldest up from school, and the cashier was far from helpful. So, here are the breakdowns and pics:

Walgreens:

Total Before Coupons: $106.61
Total Money Spent: $14.55

Total Saved: $92.06 (86.4%)

Rite Aid:
Total Before Coupons: $60.20
Total Money Spent: $4.32

Total Saved: $55.88 (92.3%)

Totals for the day!....

Total Before Coupons: $166.81
Total Money Spent: $18.87
Total Saved: $147.94 (88.7%)

"I'm not letting you walk away with all that stuff for FREE!!!"

I was looking through my "coupon mountain" as Russ calls it, and had many q's that were set to expire this weekend. Of course we couldn't let a FREE package of hot dogs or Wheat Thins get away, so off we went to our friendly (not!) neighborhood Wally World! We actually decided to try a different Walmart for this particular couponing adventure and it paid off big time. We had 2 of the nicest cashiers that anyone with a coupon for every item in the basket could ask for. :) Thanks Ginger and Brianna!

We hit RiteAid and Schnucks on our way back as well, details also below. The trip into RiteAid was anything but pleasant. The cashier and manager were both clueless concerning their own coupon policy. The manager was adament that they could not (and would not) accept a BOGO q with a BOGO sale. Well, because I have had this fight previously I knew better. She made several phone calls and finally accepted my coupons, but with much misery hence the title of today's post.

Okay, so here are the breakdowns and then we will get to the pics!

Walmart:
Total Before Coupons: $267.38
Total Money Spent: $3.87- that's less than .03 per item!!!

Total Saved: $263.51 (98.6%)

RiteAid:
Total Before Coupons: $102.42
Total Money Spent: $4.34

Total Saved: $98.08 (95.8%)

Schnucks:
Total Before Coupons: $25.86
Total Money Spent: $1.86

Total Saved: $24.00 (100%)

Totals for the day!....

Total Before Coupons: $395.66
Total Money Spent: $10.07
Total Saved: $385.59 (97.5%)

Stockpile Pictures

We have just started our stockpile this month, and these are the pictures of that hard work! A LOT of money has been saved on these items! We didn't keep all of our receipts, and some had to be mailed in for rebates, but we estimate that we spent approx. $520 to get all of these items and have saved well over $1000. Pretty awesome if you ask me! Here are the pics...isn't it pretty? :)
