Walgreens $5 off $25 coupon plus Better than Free Food Scenario

Common Sense With Money has worked out an awesome scenario to use the $5/$25 coupon at Walgreens today and tomorrow. Here's how it works:

There’s a new purchase discount coupon available for Walgreens: Get $5 off when you purchase $25 or more in products. Remember that the $25 is after all coupons, including register rewards. This coupon is available Today 8/5 and tomorrow 8/6 only. Here’s my scenario to get better than free food because that’s the stuff I like to get free:

$8 Buy 4 Poptarts

$5 Buy 2 Kelloggs cereals

$4 Buy 2 boxes of Nutri-Grain bars

$4 Buy 2 boxes of Cheez it Crackers

$8 Buy 4 Ragu sauces

$8 Buy 4 Skippys=$37 subtotal before coupons

-$1.50 Use two $0.75/2 Ragu coupons from 8/2 RP insert (other areas will get different values up to $1.25/2)

-$2 Use four $0.50/1 Skippy Coupons from 8/2 RP insert

-$2 Use two $1/2 Poptart coupons from 8/2 RP insert

- $1 use one $1/2 Kelloggs cereal from 8/2 RP insert

-$2 when you use two $1/2 Nutrigrain coupon from 8/2 inserts=$ 27 subtotal after coupons

-$5 when you use $5/$25 Walgreens coupon=$22 out of pocket

and you get back $10 RR from Ragu/Skippy, $5 RR from Poptarts/Nutrigrain, $2 RR from Kelloggs cereal. Then submit this receipt for the Fuel for School rebate and get an additional $10 mailed to you. Pay $22 and get $27 back, sounds like a good deal to me.

What are your plans?
